Don't Be Afraid To Soar

As long as I can remember I always dreamt of traveling the world. As long as I can remember I've also had a fear of flying.  For the first 27 years of my life, this fear crippled me. I was confined to places I could only sail, drive or take a train to. I didn't realize just how much I was limiting myself.  Last month, I've mustered up the courage to take a flight. Boy, has it changed my life!

Although I'm talking in the literal sense, we can apply this to every aspect of our lives. So many times we've missed out on opportunities because of our fears. Some of us fear to trust others or God. Some of us fear to open up that business. Some of us fear being alone. Whatever the fear may be, it is something that was created. It does not exist.

Fear and faith cannot coexist. My pastor once said, "if it makes sense, it's probably not God!" Think about that! If something makes complete and perfect sense it doesn't require any faith. God wants us to put our trust and faith in him...mustard seed faith. "Fear not" is written in the Bible numerous times to remind us that no matter what we go through or whatever our fear is, it's never too big for God to solve.

Remember, God's got this!
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares The Lord, "plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
